An experiment around negative space and the reconstruction of absence. After compressing recordings of animal sounds through a machine learning model, we compute the difference of the result with its original input. What was discarded is what is left – a residue of higher frequencies, deemed worthless by the algorithm. The visuals are generated in a similar fashion : the organic shapes aren't visible because of their direct color, but because their projection alters the background grid.
